XIRR Calculator

Calculate XIRR on irregular investment cashflows

Use negative amounts for investments, positive for redemptions.
XIRR18.61% p.a.

What is XIRR Calculator?

XIRR (Extended Internal Rate of Return) calculates the annualized return on investments with multiple irregular cashflows โ€” perfect for SIP investments where you invest different amounts at different dates and redeem at various points. Unlike CAGR which works only for a single lumpsum, XIRR gives an accurate return figure for SIPs, portfolio additions, and partial withdrawals.

๐Ÿ“ Formula Used

XIRR solves for the rate r such that: ฮฃ [Cashflow_i / (1+r)^(t_i)] = 0
Where t_i = time in years from first transaction. Solved iteratively using Newton's method.

๐Ÿ“– How to Use

Enter each transaction date and amount (negative for investments, positive for redemptions). Add the current portfolio value as a positive cashflow with today's date. The calculator solves for your annualized XIRR.
